Terms of Service

1. The service

ChatStall lets you turn a product catalog into a storefront that customers can browse and order from over WhatsApp. We provide the storefront, hosting, and the "Order on WhatsApp" link that opens a pre-filled chat with your configured WhatsApp number. We do not hold inventory, ship products, or take part in the sale between you and your customers.

You can optionally take online payments by connecting your own Cashfree Payments account. Customers then pay into that account directly: ChatStall never receives or holds your customers' money, and only uses the API keys you provide to create orders and refunds on your behalf. Your use of Cashfree is governed by your own agreement with Cashfree, including its fees and KYC. You remain the seller: you are responsible for fulfilling, cancelling and refunding your orders, and for keeping your Cashfree account in good standing.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use ChatStall.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use ChatStall to:

• List or sell products that are illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited under WhatsApp's or Meta's commerce policies.
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or otherwise abuse the WhatsApp click-to-chat feature.
• Infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the platform.

4. Your responsibilities as a merchant

You are solely responsible for your product listings, pricing, fulfillment, customer service, and compliance with the laws that apply to your business (including consumer protection, taxation, and product safety). We provide a default Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Refund Policy on every storefront to help you meet common requirements, but you remain responsible for making sure they accurately reflect how you run your business, and may need to adapt them.

5. Fees

Creating and running a store on ChatStall is free, and ChatStall charges no fee on online payments - Cashfree charges its own fees under your agreement with them. If we introduce paid plans in the future, pricing and billing terms will be presented to you before you are charged, and our Refund Policy will be updated to cover them.

6. Intellectual property

We own the ChatStall platform, including its software, design, and branding. You retain ownership of the content you upload (product photos, descriptions, logos, and other store content).

7. Third-party services

The platform relies on third-party services such as WhatsApp/Meta for messaging and our hosting and database providers. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp's own terms, over which we have no control.

8. Termination

You may stop using ChatStall and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to the platform or other users.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

ChatStall is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes between you and your customers.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ChatStall after a change means you accept the updated terms.
